DDGM Alfred Takes the Helm of MD Nueva Ecija East and Aurora as DDGM Jebong Steps Down

On 03 May 2025, DDGM Alfred Leonard Domingo performed his first official act as the District Deputy Grandmaster of Masonic District RIII Nueva Ecija East and Aurora by visiting the brethren of Allium Cepa Masonic Lodge No. 453 in the historic town of Bongabon, Nueva Ecija. 


DDGM Alfred was installed as the official alter ego of the Grand Master, MW Raul Canon Jr., who took over as the 107th Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Free and Accepeted Masons of the Philippines, in governing MD Nueva Ecija East and Aurora at the conclusion of the 108th Annual Communication that was convened at the World Trade Center in Pasay City on April 24-26.

Installed with him as District Grand Lecturers are VW Dean Barry Lao of Model Masonic Lodge No. 373, VW Ken Anthony Malang of  Allium Cepa Masonic Lodge No. 453, VW Michael Pineda of Kasiguruhan Masonic Lodge No. 423, VW Anthony Reyes of Ang Bagong Bayan Masonic Lodge No. 463, and VW Alvin Tadique of Talavera Masonic Lodge No. 273.


DDGM Alfred and his party were warmly rreceived by WM Mark Joseph Santiago and the brethren of Allium Cepa 453 whom he further enlightened on this year's Masonic theme of "Bawat Isa sa Masonerya ay Mahalaga" during his address to the Lodge, expounding on each Mason's inward journey in forging relationships with one another as brothers of the Craft, and the outside manifestations of that Masonic journey with non-Masons.

He concluded by reminding the Worshipful Master and the brethren to ensure that the Lodge's activities are aligned with the Grand Master's theme.  



After his official visit, DDGM Alfred presided over the installation of the following Past District Grand Lecturers as Grand Lodge Inspectors through VW Dean Barry as Installing Officer and VW Anthony Reyes as Master of Ceremonies:
  • VW Virgilio Santos for Pantabangan-Bonari Masonic Lodge No. 203
  • VW Ariel Espinosa for Manuel L. Quezon Masonic Lodge No. 262
  • VW Jewel Manzano for Talavera Masonic Lodge No. 273
  • VW Renato Bernardo  for Palayan City Masonic Lodge No. 331
  • VW Angelito Dela Cruz for Model Masonic Lodge No. 373
  • VW Leo Avellano for Kasiguruhan Masonic Lodge No. 423
  • VW Jonell Torregosa for Allium Cepa Masonic Lodge No. 453
  • VW Dennis Mendoza for Ang Bagong Bayan Masonic Lodge No. 463

In his subsequent keynote speech, DDGM Alfred further enunciated that the Grand Mster's theme for his incumbency also emphasized on Masonic Governance where Lodges are expected to align their plans and activities with Masonry's basic tenets, and on Masonic Improvement that will be measured through the appreciation and faithful observance of Masonic principles and regulations, the level of peace and harmony within Lodges, and the genuine affection of the brethren for each other. 

Finally, the brethren gathered witnessed another seamless transition of leadership with PDDGM Jovito "Jebong" Caysip handing over pertinent District documents to DDGM Alfred in a simple ceremony presided by VW Edison Rivera (District Secretary) as prescribed by by Edict 378 on "Enjoining the Conduct of a Simple Hand-over in Lieu of a Formal District Turn-Over Ceremony".

With DDGM Jebong presiding, the District Convention unanimously elected VW Hossain Shamsoddin Vostakalaei , one of its past District Deputy Grand Masters, as its nominee for the position of Junior Grand Warden in ANCOM 2025. In between, DDGM Jebong continued with his official visits to the District's subordinate Lodges --- in Baler whose Lodge memorializes the first Filipino Grand Master and in Palayan City that has been Nueva Ecija's capital city since 1965 --- to remind and exhort the brethren to " bring more light among Mason " which is is the central them of Grand Master Ariel Cayanan's incumbency.
